Educational Philosophy

My educational philosophy is guided by the belief that communication is the core of humanity and that without it achievements and accomplishments of any nature are impossible.

This belief is centered upon a quote by Daniel Webster: “If all my possessions were taken from me with one exception, I would choose to keep the power of communication, for by it I would soon regain all the rest.”

The Promise

In my therapy room, my students are reminded that I believe in them and they should believe in themselves. This belief is supported by a quote that was spoken by Christopher Robin to Winnie the Pooh

“Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think".

Getting to Know Ms. Robertson

This is my second year at Bishopville Primary School and my fifth year as a speech language therapist. I graduated from Columbia College and I currently hold a South Carolina Teaching Certificate in Speech Language Pathology. I am currently enrolled at Capella University and am pursuing a Master's in Education with emphasis in Reading and Literacy.
